I really enjoy the uber-moisture bars. Other soap claims to moisturize, but with Mom & Pop's uber-moisture, my hands are nice and soft, almost like I used lotion! And, the May Chang Ginger scent is good for the kitchen. The sample pack has been a great way for me to try out other scents too. This soap is very reasonably priced, especially considering the high quality. From the first time I put brush to soap I realized I was in for a treat. The lather produced was rich and full and went on very easy. As I began the shave I noticed I was getting a very smooth shave with a lot less drag than with other soaps I have bought from stores and larger internet suppliers. When I finished with the initial shave I discovered, to my surprise, that I didn’t need to lather up again for a finishing shave. I was smooth to the touch the first time. With store bought soaps, I always had to shave twice to get the smoothness I wanted, even with a new blade. But with soap from Mom and Pop Soap Shop, one pass was all it took. The after scent from the soap was pleasant but not over-powering. I was able to use my standard after-shave with out the two clashing. I am a 61 year old female, with multiple skin issues. I have Sjogren's and Rosacea, so my skin is dry this time of year, very sensitive, and I'm prone to breakouts. For a couple of weeks, I had an uber moisture bar. I noticed right away that I was having less itchy skin overall. My face was feeling softer. Seeing this happening, I used a gentle sugar-based exfoliant on my face to get rid of the flaky skin. My skin was so sensitive before, that this usually has caused a flare-up or breakout. However, having the moisture soap helping my skin, this did not happen. Next, I started using the whipped shea butter on my face. I am very grateful not to have allergies to latex, since this seems to agree with my skin. I had to learn to use just about a pea- sized amount, and take the time to massage it in. Makeup goes on smoothly over it. The flaky skin is almost gone, and my skin looks healthy. After these improvements, I started using a custom soap that Chris designed for me after listening to my needs. Immediately, all skin itchiness was gone, and my skin feels silky. On top of all this, I began putting the Whipped Shea Butter - Extreme Moisture Formula on my red, chapped hands. Within two days, the redness I've had since the furnace started running in October was gone!!! My hands are healing after only four days of use and are becoming soft again. I have put so much money into products over the years, searching for the ones that would help me. This is the first time I have found actual improvements, to the point where I feel very comfortable in my skin! Another thing I am grateful for, is that Chris' prices are so reasonable for such excellent products! Because of this, I am able to use her products for gifts for friends. People with sensitivities usually cannot accept personal care products. So, I was thrilled to find soaps that suited their needs, such as allergies to shea, silk, scents, color or preservatives.
